Southern Rock Band

This incarnation of The Bare Facts is still on the market today, with "Toy Soldier" on an album called "For a Few Fuzz Guitars More".  Click this link for a review of the album.  http://tesla-thismortalcoil.blogspot.com/2011/02/for-few-fuzz-guitars-more.html.  Here's the Wikipedia entry listing it among "quality examples of their genres."

The Southern rock version of the band emphasized guitars over horns.  The band played numerous club gigs throughout the South, as well as high school dances, college shows, corporate functions and private parties.  The original Southern rock Bare Facts were:  Michael May, keyboards; Ron Keene, bass; Roger Smith, guitar; and Jon Bryan, Drums.  The late Mike Crowell also played guitar for a time.  When Jon left the band, Michael moved to drums, Roger moved to keyboards, with Bill Wise and Mike Hildebrand joining the group on twin lead guitars.  Due to some confusion with the soul version of the Bare Facts, the group later changed its name to Roadhouse.  Michael May and Mike Hildebrand moved to Colorado in 1973.  At that point new Roadhouse members joined, including Andy Brinkley on guitar, Mike Smith on keyboards, and Bryce Riggins on drums.

Bare Facts - Later Renamed Roadhouse
