The original soul version of the Bare Facts received a personal invitation from Dick Clark to appear on "The Dick Clark Caravan of Stars" touring show...the biggest in America at that time...as an opening act. There, the band worked with major stars of the time including The Animals, StrawberryAlarm Clock, Five Americans, Question Mark & the Mysterians, and Bobby Vee. The Bare Facts were also invited to compete on the nation's very first talent search show, "Happening '68", which was hosted by Mark Lindsey and Paul Revere of "Raiders" fame. The band took second place overall. We could only find one episode, which appears below. The judges for this episode were Tommy Roe, Jackie DeShannon, and Jay North...who played Dennis the Menace on the ABC sitcom of the same name.
