Bare Facts and Roadhouse - Home Page

The Bare Facts and Roadhouse were two incarnations of a popular regional band from Springhill, Louisiana.  One Bare Facts song, Toy Soldier, is on the album called "For a Few Fuzz Guitars More" which was first released in 2002 with a re-release in 2013.  Click the "Southern Rock Band" tab for links to a review of the album and the Wikipedia entry listing it among "quality examples of their genres."  Here's a link to a review of the CD.  http://tesla-thismortalcoil.blogspot.com/2011/02/for-few-fuzz-guitars-more.html

The Bare Facts began as a "blue-eyed soul" band in 1966.  In 1969 the soul group disbanded, and a new Bare Facts emerged as a Southern rock band.  Due to audience confusion as to the band's genre, the name of the band was changed to Roadhouse in 1972.  Roadhouse disbanded in 1974.

In this audio clip, KBSF air personality Sonny Day has a little fun with the group's well-known penchant for partying.
